Changing your email address?
Why you should forward emails from your old address?
In this blog post and video, we will show you how to forward your emails to a new email address. This is important until you transition everyone who uses your previous email address to the new one. As they come in, you can reply to let the person know that you have updated your email, or if it is a company that is emailing you that you subscribe to, you can go to that account and update the emailing address. One last tip is to add a P.S. note in the signature section that lets everyone you email know that you will be retiring your email by a specific date.

One last pro-tip when you send out emails from your new email address. You may want to place a notice that you are retiring your previous email address in your signature. It is a good idea to give six months or one year for the retirement to happen. This will ensure that everyone gets your new email address.
To set this up, please go to your new email address, click on the settings icon, then see all settings, and scroll down to the signature section.
Click on create new located under No Signatures. Enter a signature name and click on create. Click on the box next to your signature name and write up your notice there.
For example, you can write please note, effective March 31st, I will be retiring my email@example.com address. Would you please make sure to replace this address with firstname.lastname@example.org?
Then under Signature defaults, make sure to drop the menu for both new emails use and on reply forward use and select your signature. Once you have completed this section, click on Save Changes, and you are now all done.
